Along the river Cam
Turn left and walk along the River Cam. Can you see some animals?
♠ This is your first clue. Note on your printed roadmap what animal it is – in English, of course! (Plural) :
Continue walking along the river until you reach the bridge – don’t take the bridge to cross the Cam, stay on this side of the river and turn left.
As you arrive at the wooden hut, you realize you are hungry, and decide to buy something to eat.

Jesus Green
You now leave the river Cam to cross Jesus Green : from the wooden hut, there are 3 different paths, take the path on your right.
Cross Jesus Green and get out on Park Parade : turn left, then right on Lower Park St.
When you arrive at the big car park, stop.

Jesus College
At the car park, turn left on Park St.
At the next junction turn left on Jesus Lane and look for the entrance to Jesus College – don’t miss it ! If you see the roundabout, you’re too far!
Enter into Jesus College (pass under the porch).

Go and say hello to the 2 little girls, then turn right and pass under the porch : you’re now in the second courtyard. Turn left, then left again : there’s a man working.

A famous man
There are more than 30 Colleges in Cambridge, some of them are very old (Jesus College that you’ve just visited was founded in 1496) and had famous students or teachers.
One of them is famous for his law of universal gravitation.

Beautiful gardens
Here you are in your famous man’s College. Take your time, have a look at the beautiful gardens, full of colorful flowers: take the path in front of you. When you get to the porch, turn left. Don’t go too fast and carefully look for a blazon as you walk along the buildings.

Back to the river
Walk until you reach the river, and take a seat.
As often in Cambridge, the river is busy with boats.
It is a good way to discover the town, as the river Cam runs right through the Colleges.
The boats are a little like the gondolas in Venice, with a man (called a “punter”) standing up, using a long pole to make the boat move.

Shopping time
You decide to leave the College. You want to go into town to do some shopping and have lunch.
After 5 minutes’ walk, you are in Trinity Street (click on the link).
Don’t go too fast: you’re looking for a restaurant. After a few steps, you are in Green Street and you see a Thai restaurant on the right.

After your lunch at the Thai restaurant, you walk down Green Street and enter into “Laird hatters”.
